The event, which will showcase new anti-piracy technologies and best practices, will be hosted by Keysight Technologies at Keysight headquarters in Santa Rosa, CA.
Headlining the summit will be keynote speaker David Locke Hall, author of CRACK99: The Takedown of a $100M Chinese Software Pirate. An attorney and former U.S. Navy intelligence officer, Hall will share the electrifying story of how he and his team set up an audacious sting that culminated in the capture and imprisonment of the CRACK99 website owner.
Dominique Shelton, partner at international intellectual property (IP) law firm Alston & Bird LLP, will discuss cross-border privacy issues, including Privacy Shield compliance, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and cybersecurity preparedness. In addition, three leading EDA/CAD software vendor compliance managers will share best practices, lessons learned and interesting cases and SmartFlow legal experts will discuss the implications of personally-identifiable information (PII) and European Union changes upcoming in 2018.
Adrian Allen, vice-president of engineering at SmartFlow, will present new technologies and best practices in licensing, security, watermarking and tamper detection within SmartFlow anti-piracy software products.
On November 3, SmartFlow will showcase new features in SmartFlow Enterprise and Professional 2016 software and conduct hands-on training for registered users.
